Recently, the Zhongguancun Green Mining Industry Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "CLMA") officially launched the application process for the 2025 Green Mining Science and Technology Award. As an authoritative award registered with the National Science and Technology Awards Office (registration number: 0265), this award plays a crucial role in promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and green transformation in the mining industry.

Since its establishment, the Green Mining Science and Technology Award has been committed to driving green mine construction through technological innovation. The 2025 Green Mining Science and Technology Award has the following characteristics:

First, it covers the entire industry chain, focusing on innovation in key areas. The award scope covers multiple key areas in various mineral categories, including oil and gas, coal, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, rare and precious metals, chemical minerals, and non-metallic minerals. It supports research, development, practice, and application of technologies and equipment in areas such as geological exploration, efficient resource development, comprehensive utilization of mineral resources, environmental protection and energy conservation and emission reduction, mine land reclamation and ecological reconstruction, mine safety production, mine emergency management, and information technology and mine management.

Second, it adds a special section for popular science, bridging the "last mile" in disseminating the concept. In addition to the traditional Science and Technology Progress Award, Invention Award, and Basic Research Award (with separate announcements for Major Engineering Awards and Mining Innovation Equipment Awards), the Green Mine Science and Technology Award has added a research and practice category for Green Mine Science Popularization (no more than three projects will be reviewed). This aims to deepen the dissemination of the green mining concept, comprehensively enhance the industry's science popularization capabilities, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of green mining science popularization.

Third, the award innovates the review mechanism, measuring project value based on "key indicators + transformation effectiveness." The Green Mine Science and Technology Award focuses on supporting two types of achievements: first, technological breakthroughs that improve key green indicators such as unit product energy consumption reduction rate, dust reduction rate, noise reduction rate, and mine vegetation coverage rate compared to benchmark values; second, achievements with high conversion rates that have achieved industrial application and demonstrate annual profit, carbon emission reduction, or annual resource cost savings, promoting the efficient transformation of "laboratory technology" into "industrial productivity."

The opening of the 2025 Green Mine Science and Technology Award application process is expected to attract more innovative achievements to participate in the selection, further promoting technological innovation in the field of green mine construction and contributing to the green and sustainable development of my country's mining industry. All relevant organizations and individuals are encouraged to closely monitor the China Green Mine Science and Technology Alliance (CGSTAR) website and actively prepare application materials according to the requirements, seizing this excellent opportunity to showcase innovative achievements and promote industry progress.

The construction of green mines is an inevitable requirement for implementing the new development philosophy and a core path for the sustainable development of the mining industry. CGSTAR will use the application for the Green Mine Science and Technology Award as an opportunity to continuously improve its full-chain service system of "award-transformation-promotion," promoting the formation of a virtuous cycle where "scientific and technological innovation has direction, achievement transformation has channels, and industrial application has demonstrations," thus helping my country leap from a "mining giant" to a "mining powerhouse."
